Industriya Marikina: A Father’s Day buffet like no other

Somewhere along a peaceful street in Marikina sits a rather charming and sophisticated establishment that offers delicious and flavorful dishes hailing from different parts of the world. Industriya Marikina Restaurant and Events Place is noteworthy because of its overall design, which embraces the look and feel of establishments in the 1940s.

Fun fact: Industriya Marikina stands on what used to be a leather tanning factory – the owners decided that it would be a great idea to keep the distinguishing elements from the old factory to add a touch of uniqueness to the restaurant.

However, their eye-catching retro design is hardly the only thing you’ll remember Industriya Marikina for.

The restaurant serves a surprisingly diverse selection of dishes from all over the world – Italian, Japanese, American, and of course, Filipino cuisine.

Health buffs out there will appreciate Industriya’s salads and veggie offerings.

For lovers of sushi and maki, this platter’s for you!

I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that this is probably the most tender pork I’ve ever tasted – the perfect balance of juicy meat and crispy skin. Interestingly, I left my plate just sitting on our table for about 20 minutes because I had to assist in taking some photos. When I came back, the skin was still as crispy as it was when the slab of pork was being cut up.

We thoroughly enjoyed being able to “make” our own halo-halo, just like how they do it in dessert buffets.
